Substance Abuse Services at Helping Hearts of Va are designed to support individuals on their journey toward lasting recovery through compassionate, evidence-based care. We understand that recovery is not one-size-fits-all, which is why we provide structured outpatient treatment tailored to varying levels of need. Our approach focuses on healing the whole person by addressing emotional, behavioral, and lifestyle factors that impact substance use. Through supportive guidance and clinical expertise, we help individuals build a strong foundation for long-term sobriety and stability.
- 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers structured treatment for individuals who need a higher level of support than traditional outpatient care but do not require 24-hour supervision. Clients participate in multiple weekly sessions that include group therapy and individualized counseling focused on relapse prevention, coping skills, and emotional regulation. This program allows individuals to continue managing work, school, and family responsibilities while receiving consistent therapeutic support. We also emphasize peer connection and accountability to strengthen recovery progress.
- 2.5 Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our 2.5 Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides a more intensive level of care for individuals who require comprehensive daily treatment and structured support. Clients attend full-day programming five days a week, which includes group therapy, individual counseling, psychoeducation, and medication management when needed. This level of care is especially beneficial for those transitioning from inpatient treatment or needing a highly structured environment to stabilize. We also offer support in connecting participants with recovery housing to promote a safe, substance-free living environment that reinforces sustained recovery.
